Dust & Powder

I started this environment without any specific idea in mind except for the shape of the rocks present in the scene and the top-view camera, then my uber-talented friend Thomas Brissot (https://www.artstation.com/thomasbrissot) did a great paintover of an early blockout. It inspired me to continue the environment in a more recent era, while I was originally thinking of it as a fantasy piece. I kinda drifted from the concept in the end, but I like the mood the environment depicts. I got some great feedbacks along the way from my buddies Thomas Lean (https://twitter.com/thomaslean) and Jean-Loup Didelot, who also did the music for the walkthrough video.

I modeled this enemy planning to include it in the environment, but in the end decided to keep it simple and more on the exploration side.
